Illuminate Minds – Registered Psychological consultation fee is $190.00 for a 50 min session.
You do not require a referral to see a psychologist, however, it is recommended you talk to your GP about a mental health care plan referral so you are able to claim Medicare rebates.
Illuminate Minds – Provisional Psychological consultation fee is $90.00 for a 50 min session.
You do not require a referral to see a provisional psychologist, however it is recommended for a team care arrangement with your GP. Medicare rebates are not applicable due to provisional status of the psychologist.
Medicare rebates are available to clients for up to 10 sessions per calendar year if their General Practitioner has prepared a mental health care plan. If you wish to access the Medicare rebates, please contact your GP for a consultation and bring your referral and Medicare card on your first appointment.
Medicare rebates are processed directly with Medicare at Illuminate Minds after full payment is made at the end of each session.
Medicare currently does not offer rebates for services provided by a Provisional Psychologist.
Private health insurance rebates may also be available and it is recommended that you contact your insurer prior to your consultation to determine if your health insurances covers general psychology.
Illuminate Minds supports individuals accessing support through the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA). The Veteran is required to have a white or gold DVA card which covers mental health support and a valid GP referral. Please contact us to further discuss how to access support through DVA.

ICWA and Workcover (Please ensure you have general psychology covered under your claim)

Cancellation Policy
At Illuminate Minds we understand that, at times, you may not be able to attend your scheduled appointment and may require to reschedule to a more suitable time. It can be quite challenging to fill a 60 minute appointment last minute and so we please ask for 24 hours notice when cancelling or rescheduling. If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice a cancellation fee of $100.00+ GST will be charged.
Cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare, private health or DVA, therefore, this cost will need to be covered by the client. If you are accessing sessions through your EAP, please note, you may lose a session entitlement.
Illuminate Minds will ensure you receive a text and/or email confirming your appointment 48 hours before your scheduled session which allows you to cancel and or confirm. If you cancel your appointment within the specified notice period Illuminate Minds will contact you to reschedule to a more suitable time.
